Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
